In preparation for the big Broncos-Seahawks game, the Big Apple is buzzing with excitement. Broadway, between 34th and 47th street has been renamed “Super Bowl Boulevard” and is the place to be for all things football. Opportunities to win free tickets to the game, get autographs from NFL players, kick a field goal through NFL uprights and much more.
Those die-hard NFL fans with $2,400 to spare might be interested in purchasing VIP tickets to the “The Catch Game Day Experience” at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan on Super Bowl Sunday. Fine cuisine, top-shelf liquor, and retired NFL athletes Howard Cross and Sean Landeta will be on hand at this event. But you really get the bang for your buck during halftime, when you’ll get the chance to catch an autographed football tossed by Joe Montana.
Speaking of dropping a decent amount of cash, Maxim magazine is throwing a party on Friday night. Kendrick Lamar will perform, as well as DJ Sebastian Ingrosso. The party promises to be a celebrity-spotting heaven, and, at the very least, the Maxim Hotties will be there. $1,150 grants you access to an open bar, and $3,400 makes you a VIP with a personal hostess and unlimited bottle service.
If you thought sledding in the middle of Times Square was an impossible dream, then you’ll be glad to know a toboggan run has been set up there. Tickets are $5, and proceeds go towards planting trees in New York City.
For even more wholesome fun, Chelsea Piers is hosting a day of bowling. Participants will compete in a tournament against Hall of Famers and Soldiers from the America’s Wounded Warriors Project. A team of 4 can bowl for $3,000, which also includes the “NY/NJ Neighborhood of Food” buffet.
