Nobu Hotel Coming to Manila

The Nobu Hotel venture is expanding to Asia, first stop: Manila. The City of Dreams hotel and casino complex in Manila will be the home for this latest Nobu Hotel. This latest addition to the Nobu familymarks the continued expansion of the Nobu brand. As co-owner Robert DeNiro explains, outsiders encouraged the Nobu brand to stick to what it does best, but DeNiro felt if they can do luxury dining, then luxury hospitality is the logical next step.

The idea for starting a chain of hotels came out of the many requests from other hotels to feature a Nobu restaurant in their establishment. And so the restaurant chain expanded to hotels, with the first opening at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Now the Nobu Hotel brand is spreading to Asia, with possibly more Asian cities to welcome the luxury boutique hotels in the future.

The City of Dreams complex will house three luxury hotels, the largest night club in Manila, and an amusement park, with plans to open in mid-2014

This Nobu Hotel will feature 321 rooms, making it almost double the size of the Caesar’s Palace location. And, of course, there will be plenty of Chef Nobu’s famed cuisine, to be enjoyed at an outdoor cabana-style dining area, with views of Manila Bay.
